I'll be honest I found it upsetting putting the photographs together but I promise I haven't included any that are overly gruesome!

I can’t quite articulate why, but I find that shot of “The Petrel” especially haunting… All of these images, though… -shudders-

Wow, this is . . . fascinating, horrible, amazing. Reminds me of the book, "Kinsey, Photographer," with old photos of loggers posing in giant sequoias, etc. To equate might and heroism with bringing down one of these precious behemoths is beyond insane.
