In the water, they look so otherworldly, on the beach --so sad. Thank you for all of this fascinating information and the pros and cons. I had not idea they were so ancient. I don't think I want to see "Planet of the Jellyfish"

I have never liked Jellyfish. But the more I read about them , the cooler they get! Maybe we can learn something from them 🤔

You mean there's something other than the politics of human insanity to read?! Thanks for this and your work! One enterprising supplement company actually sells bottles of jellyfish parts (?) to improve mental functioning. Time to buy their stock?

Fascinating article. Thank you. Having been stung by a jellyfish, I’m not a fan of swimming with them, and the idea of a bloom is terrifying. But, at the same time, I find them beautiful and their movements mesmerizing.

Jellyfish are absolutely fascinating. I've been a fan of them for a long time, however, I didn't know until your article that a bloom can be referred to as a 'smack.' That's my new favorite name for an animal grouping.

This was very informative. I have always been curious about jellyfish and what they eat. (I thought they ate fish). I mostly only know about box jellyfish and portguese man o wars.

The jellyfish will displace octopuses as our aquatic overlords....
