That underwater avalanche story is fascinating! Will give it a mention in my newsletter at some point with a hat-tip to you, because it sounds a lot like the Storegga Slides that are estimated to have created tsunamis that devastated the coastline of the UK and inundated Doggerland around 6,200 BC: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storegga_Slide

Well, amidst the various dire news highlighting areas for concern and action, you sprinkle in a bit about giant scorpions. Yikes! Having lived in Arizona where they abound, the article of a large, ocean-going scorpion gave me the shivers! My wife was stung not once but twice while we lived there. Can’t imagine a human-sized type. Was good to hear about the storks maybe making a comeback!
