Incredibly cool piece Amie. I did not realize that the Christ of the Abyss statue in the Keys was a copy. You’ve definitely made a case for the silent, looming beauty of underwater sculptures. I get strange reactions at the airport when my backpack is only a computer, mask, and fins, but this 👆🏻is why. Thanks!
Love these... though I think living near that figure of Neptune would give me nightmares! Great idea for a post. Interesting how they all seem to evoke a sense of awe at the passage of time – either looking back into history or focusing on our responsibilities for the future. Thanks for sharing!
Lovely to have a nice list of these beauties. I only knew about a few.🪸

I didn’t realise either and I’d love to see just one of them in person 😁 haha if I ever see the same, I’ll now understand why!
Had thought only ancient ruins, including sculptures, were in this category. But here we have modern, dual-purpose art!
I had no idea! I love this and now must visit all of the them :)
Great idea for a post. Very entertaining.
These are extraordinary. I hadn’t heard of a number of these; thanks for bringing them to my attention, Amie!

There’s definitely a theme, as if they wouldn’t be remarkable by their presence alone! Thanks Theo.
I have been fortunate to get my diving certification in MUSA. One day I hope to visit all the other statues too. Thank you for sharing!
Oh wow! Congrats, that would be so fun.
